The I Am Adam series comprises seven interactive sensory books that aim to introduce children to their surroundings, assist them in expressing their feelings and aspirations, and foster the development of human values through interaction with others. At the end of each story, there’s an interactive page that enhances the reading experience.
The interactive pages include: touch-and-feel, lift-the-flap, open windows, spinning wheel, mirror and sliding counter.
These interactive elements help children play and learn, generating plenty of smiles along the way.
Each book in the series is linked to a YouTube song and its very own augmented reality App, both of which can be accessed by scanning the codes on the back cover of the books.
At this age, children begin to explore their surroundings and the world around them. They are introduced to many concepts that reflect their real lives. This series aims to help children integrate with their peers in their family and community by emphasizing the human values that start to develop in early childhood. These books will reinforce these concepts in an interactive way, using realistic and engaging pictures. The concepts covered include family, sibling relationships, ambitions and dreams, diversity and individuality, sharing and its significance, and bedtime rituals and habits.
About the Author
Adam Wa Mishmish is a project that helps young children learn Arabic through music, illustration, animation, and play. The project started as a YouTube channel, where the founders would also perform in musical concerts and plays live for kids. Today, however, the project has grown to include a curriculum designed by early childhood experts to build a strong foundation for Arabic in children. The fun curriculum includes storybooks, games, songs, animations, and activities
About the Illustrator
Lutfi Zayed is an illustrator and comic artist based in Amman, Jordan.
Zayed has showcased his work in several festivals and exhibitions, and published his first comic book, titled “485 Frames” in 2019.
